Medical student schedule at RSU: What lessons are in person, what are not?

If you're considering studying at RSU or maybe you got a study-place but haven't started yet, you might be wondering what your schedule will look like. I can't give you an exact answer, since the curriculum has changed since the February 2025 syllabus. Regardless, a lot of things are still the same, such as video recordings, anatomy lessons, molecular biology, etc. So the structure is more or less the same.

When you first take a look at your schedule you might think: "What?! I have classes on Saturday?". And that's understandable, because that's what all of us were thinking when we first started.

But all Saturday classes are video recordings, and they can be found in e-studies. You're expected to watch these lectures before the lesson next week, because you should be prepared for the class. Although, not everyone does this... The lectures are not mandatory to watch, but they do help a lot when it comes to the exams. If you want to learn more about exams at RSU, read this blog post.

If you want to know whether a class is in person, a recording or Zoom, click on the lesson. If it is in person, it will have a location set to it. As an exception, the anatomy DemoLab usually has a location set to it even though it is a Zoom.

In the information you can also see if it says "Nodarbība", meaning lesson. If it has video recording, it will not be a lesson that you need to watch.
